Ingredients List
- 6 tbsp Hellmann’s® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage leaves *
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg (optional)
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/4 lb. bulk pork sausage or sweet italian sausage links casing removed
- 1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts or cooked chestnuts, almonds or walnuts
- 1 1/4 cups coarse fresh bread crumbs
Directions
Print1. Combine Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise, eggs, melted margarine, Worcestershire sauce, sage and nutmeg in large bowl. Stir in onions, sausage, water chestnuts and hazelnuts. Add bread crumbs and toss.
2. Use to stuff chicken or a roast. OR, spoon into casserole or onto baking sheet and bake at 375° until sausage is cooked and stuffing is golden, about 20 minutes.
