Spaghetti Bolognese

- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 carrots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. tomato puree
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tub Knorr® Homestyle Stock - Beef
- 1/4 cup Hellmann’s® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 box (16 oz.) spaghetti, cooked and drained
Directions
Print1. Heat olive oil in large skillet and cook onion and carrots over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender, about 3 minutes. Add ground beef, oregano and black pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until ground beef is brown. Stir in tomato puree and cook 1 minute.
2. Stir in wine and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium and cook until wine is almost evaporated, about 12 minutes. Stir in diced tomatoes and Knorr® Homestyle Stock - Beef until Stock is melted. Stir in Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 1 hour. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
