Natural Vanilla Carlota
This Natural Vanilla Carlota is a simple and classic Mexican dessert that is both easy and delicious!
- 60 vanilla wafer cookies, divided
- 1 container (1.5 qt.) Breyers® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
- 1 tsp. grated lime peel, divided
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
Directions
Print1. Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper. Carefully place 14 cookies around the sides of the pan and 14 cookies on the bottom of the pan.
2. Spoon Breyers® Natural Vanilla Ice Cream into a large saucepan and melt over low heat. Stir in ½ teaspoon lime peel. Pour 1 cup over the cookies on the bottom of the pan. Place the pan in the freezer for 30 minutes to firm up.
3. Layer 12 more cookies in pan, then pour 1 cup of Ice Cream mixture over cookies. Continue alternating between a layer of 12 cookies and 1 cup Ice Cream mixture until done, ending with the Ice Cream mixture. Freeze overnight.
4. Remove from freezer. Remove from pan; top with lime slices and sprinkle with remaining ½ teaspoon lime peel. Cut and serve immediately.
